The Role

We’re hiring a Customer Experience Coordinator to join our Customer Experience team and help manage the customer journey from first inquiry through final payment.

We take responsiveness seriously. When a customer contacts us, we want them hearing from a real person in minutes, not hours.

You’ll work alongside another Customer Experience Coordinator, sharing responsibility for our customers and workload.

 

The team owns the inbox. Individuals own the work.

 

When you take something on, you own it—but we work transparently enough that your teammate can seamlessly step in when needed.

 

What You’ll Do

• Respond to customer emails, calls, chats, questions, and problems

• Review new customer inquiries and prepare quotes

• Follow up on opportunities and help turn quotes into orders

• Create and maintain customer records, quotes, and sales orders in our ERP system

• Coordinate order details and lead times with Production

• Help coordinate freight quotes, truckload shipments, and deliveries

• Resolve customer issues and complaints

• Complete daily invoicing

• Keep customer information, commitments, and special instructions organized and documented

• Identify recurring frustrations and help improve the processes behind them

Some days will be predictable. Others won’t. You might be preparing a quote, answering the phone, checking a production lead time, solving a freight issue, and responding to several new inquiries within the same 20 minutes.

Being able to calmly keep track of all of it is an important part of the job.

Schedule

This is a 100% in-person position at our Milwaukee-area facility. Being together as a team matters to how we work.

We are primarily looking for a full-time team member, but for an exceptional candidate, we would also consider a schedule of approximately 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. We recognize that this schedule may work particularly well for someone balancing work with a school-day schedule.

 

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000–$65,000 per year, depending on experience.

For a reduced schedule, compensation would be prorated based on hours worked.

Short Summary: We are searching for self-motivated shop workers to add to our fast-growing crate and pallet building team. The current opening is first shift ~ 7:30am – 4pm, Monday – Friday.

Longer summary: SharkCrates is a specialty wood crate manufacturer with locations in Milwaukee and Germany. We are currently hiring first shift part-time and/or full-time shop workers. The candidates’ main responsibilities will be cutting wood panels, building pallets, assembling, and kitting our crates using a variety of machines and power tools.

The candidates should have a firm understanding of math and be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Requirements:

• Must be able to constantly lift over 50lbs, bend, and twist
• Ability to remain on feet for full 8-hour shift
• Stable work history & reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be authorized to work in the USA
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32″
• Must be punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitude

Other favorable traits:

• Experience in the pallet and or crate-building industry
• Working knowledge of Lean principles (5S, Kanban, etc.)
• Any panel saw, table saw, or CNC machine experience
• Experience with power and air tools, including nail and staple guns
• Understanding of the relationship between imperial (inches) and metric (mm) measurements
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel
• Forklift experience

Education Requirement:

• HS Diploma
