How we started manufacturing shipping crates in Wisconsin

A Search for the Right Shipping Crate in Wisconsin

Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, SharkCrates started as a solution to an internal shipping problem.  As an importer and value-added distributor of steel and aluminum products for the commercial printing and metal stamping industry, we always worked closely with our sister company and manufacturing partner in Germany.  Over the years, we have imported many shipments and inevitably many of them ended up damaged.  Determined to find a solution to this, we tried out a variety of wood shipping crates in Wisconsin and byond, but never quite found the right combination of quality, availability, customer service, and price.

German Engineering

We then tasked our engineers in Germany with designing our own metal bracket system that would allow us to create our own wood crates in Wisconsin, quickly and affordably.  After utilizing our own system for several months, our customers started asking us where we bought our crates.  That was when we know we had to offer our wood shipping crates to the world.

The SharkCrate Solution

Out of necessity, SharkCrates was born.  Although we manufacture our shipping crates in Wisconsin, our unique collapsible wood crate design has allowed us to ship crates to customers all over the United States as well as the world, earning us a reputation as a customer-focused solutions provider.

The Promise

No matter if you need 1,000 of our standard crates or one custom wood crate, please contact us and let us earn your business. And remember, if it’s not a SharkCrate, it’s just a wood box.

I just wanted to let you know that it’s been great working with your company. The quality of your product is amazing, and your shipping is very fast. The first time we ordered one day and received product the next. You have been awesome to work with and will continue to order from you in the future. You guys are the best! Keep up the good work!!
